I'm back!

It’s been too long since I blogged. I had wanted to get back into it after the New Year, and now it's February.  I had many goals for the New Year but morning sickness has gotten the best of me. That’s right, Jelly Belly is FINALLY going to be a big sister! She doesn’t know yet, I’m only 9 weeks so we only have a few more to go before we tell her.

I’ve been feeling so miserable that we have not been doing much. We are stuck at home watching lots of television and movies so mommy can rest. She loves it. I, on the other hand, feel extremely guilty.

Today, we managed to get out of the house and went to Alphabet Soup and found the cutest Melissa & Doug toy for $2.50!!

I had never seen it before and I’m glad I did not think twice about spending almost three dollars on this very cool toy. It entertained her for almost 45 minutes when we got home, and any toy that can do that to a 4 year old is a winner in my book! She is very far from tying her shoes by herself but I love her interest and determination! When daddy got home, we found out that we tie our shoes very differently.  Who would have known? He uses one loop and I use two.  Good laughs!

Practice, practice, practice!

Lincoln logs fun!

We played Lincoln Logs yesterday.

What a big difference a few months can make!
She received this as a present for her 3rd birthday back in September, but she was not ready for them. Or maybe I was not ready.  I thought it was kind of hard. I remember she wanted to build her own thing, in her own way, and was easily frustrated when the logs would fall.
I didn't consider it much fun.  But now, a few months shy of being 4 years old, we had a blast building.  She had patience and coordination.  We had many opportunities for counting.  And best of all she used her imagination!
